Hoy vamos a ver el plato estrella de la repostería británica. Vamos a hacer unas cookies o galletas y las vamos a realizar con la receta básica y tradicional inglesa. Os recuerdo que es muy importante ser respetuoso con las medidas y con los pesos en la repostería ya que si no el resultado puede ser un desastre. Como muchas grandmas, a estas galletas que vamos a realizar les vamos a añadir unas pepitas de chocolate, lo que las hace mas apetecibles y sobre todo mas atractivas para los niños.
Preparación.
El primer paso que vamos a realizar es sacar la mantequilla del frigorífico para que adquiera la textura de pomada que nos permita trabajar con ella. La ponemos en un cuenco y le añadimos el azúcar. Lo batimos hasta que se quede cremoso. Batimos un huevo en otro recipiente y lo incorporamos al cuenco de la mantequilla y el azúcar.
Vamos ahora a añadir la harina tamizada (para que no haga grumos), añadimos la levadura, un pellizquito de sal y las pepitas de chocolate. Lo amasamos bien hasta que quede una masa firme, ponemos la masa sobre un plástico hacemos un rollo de unos cinco centímetros de diámetro y guardamos en el congelador 1/2 hora. Sacamos del congelador la masa y cortamos discos de un cm.de ancho , las ponemos en la bandeja separadas unas de otras dos cm.
Por último metemos nuestras galletas en el horno precalentado durante 10 o 12 minutos a 180 gradoshasta que estén doradas. Dejamos enfriar y listas para comer.

- 100g de pepitas de chocolate
